Trips suspended from 18 to 20 October and from 25 to 27 October
Genoa – Disruption to passengers on trains between Italy and France: from Monday 18 October the Cuneo-Ventimiglia railway line, in particular the section between the stations of Limone in Italy and Tenda in the French Roya valley, it will be affected by infrastructural upgrading works: the tracks are replaced in Vievola, France.
For one year and for the next two years, the railway line is in fact the only alternative to the road e to the Tenda gallery, which will not reopen until the end of 2023.
“The interventions, carried out on the section under the responsibility of the French infrastructure manager, they will be concentrated from 18 to 20 October and from 25 to 27 October “, he explains Trenitalia. For six days, therefore, trains will not circulate between Limone and Breil, in France, along the railway line that connects the Cuneo area with Liguria and the French Riviera. In this case they are not provided replacement buses, those that operate between Ventimiglia and Breil, where the railway line is interrupted by the flood of 2-3 October 2020 and will be reactivated only at the end of the year.
