Since the beginning of the Russian-Ukrainian conflict, many Western companies have temporarily abandoned the Russian market, but now it appears that Chinese companies have also decided to follow suit and withdraw their products from the country. After the defection of the drone manufacturer DJI, too Xiaomi and Lenovo have stopped selling their products in Russia, also due to the collapse of the ruble on the international market. According to Wall Street Journal Lenovo, which is the second largest PC manufacturer in the country, would have stopped shipments of products to the territory as early as a few weeks after the war began, while Xiaomi, which is in second place among smartphone manufacturers, would have started a few weeks ago. There are no official statements, but it seems that the situation is destined to isolate Russia more and more also from the point of view of technological consumer goods: thanks to the iron lockdown of the last period in some areas of China, total shipments of hi-tech devices to Russia would have plummeted by 90 percent40 percent for computers.
