The Colombian women’s team qualified to the final phase of the South American sub-17 in Uruguay, after beating Ecuador, 4-0, to reach 9 points in group A.
The goals were scored by Juanita Escobar (12 PT), Mary José Álvarez (16 PT), Karla Torres (39 PT) and Ana María Guzmán (45 ST).
Colombia plays again on Wednesday against Uruguay, in its last game of the group stage. The final home run of the tournament starts next Monday.
The tournament awards quotas to the first two places for the 2022 U-17 Women’s Soccer World Cup to be played in India. Colombia has already beaten Peru (7-0) and Chile (3-1).
