The debate belongs to those who need it. Florestan.
He President López Obrador has declared that his successorassume that it will be Claudia Sheinbaumis a person who thinks like him.
And about this, when at the start of her campaign, on February 27, I asked the candidate of Brunette Yeah of win The presidency I was going to govern like López Obrador, told me that there are principles that they share but that evidently he was born in Macuspana, Tabasco, he has a life story, and I was born in Mexico City and I have a life story. I was a scientist for many years. Obviously there are personal characteristics, I studied a doctorate at Berkeley and well that marks your life. We have similarities but, of course, we have our own styles. In many things I think like him and we have similar principles. But we are two different people. No one can think exactly the same as the other person.
And by denying that it is a carbon copy, as the opponents call it, he reiterated that he will build the second floor of the fourth transformation. About this I told him how, if the first one is not finished, which he denied saying that practically everything has been built: the Mayan Train, the Transisthmian, Dos Bocas. And we must consolidate them, give them continuity.
Then I told him that he was clear that the Executive Power is vested in a single person and that two cannot fit in the presidential chair.
“Why are you telling me?” he asked.
-Because I am not sure that López Obrador is going to go to his farm, as he has said.
-But why not? Has she not fulfilled everything she promised?
“Some things yes and others no, and I don't see the president going to his farm,” I insisted.
-Well, I think you're wrong. He is going to leave a very important legacy and recognition for his presidency and we will have to build from there on a new six-year term in which there will be many things of continuity and also new projects.
He spoke of a system of health where there is medicines and medical attention for all Mexicans, of a policy of security that reduce the growth of homicides. He said that he agrees with the reforms to the Judiciary and the INE so that ministers, magistrates, judges and advisors are elected, and denied that the president polarizes in his mornings.
Regarding the Armed Forces, he pointed out that there are areas where they are very good and it is necessary to review whether the others are working or not. But I am going to have an excellent relationship with the Army and the Navy, as I had as head of government. The National Guard spoke out for belonging to SEDENA and consolidating issues such as roads, he told me in that long interview on Radio Formula, which I recover today on the eve, Sunday, of the first presidential debate in which his priority is, I say, don't lose it.
With that he will win, as happens with all the leaders.
See you on Tuesday, but privately.
