The repression of students at the Autonomous University of Chihuahua is proof that the PRIAN represents authoritarianism, while Fourth Transformation means freedom, said this Wednesday the candidate of the Let’s Keep Making History coalition for the Presidency of the Republic, Claudia Sheinbaum.
During a rally in the capital of Chihuahua, Sheinbaum expressed his support for university students who fight for free education, a right enshrined in the Constitution of Mexico.
The former head of Government of Mexico City criticized the repression suffered by the students of the Autonomous University of Chihuahuapointing out that this demonstrates the authoritarian character of the National Action (PAN) and Institutional Revolutionary (PRI) parties.
“So many years that the PAN was supposedly against the PRI, but what unites them? Business, corruption, hatred, slander, lies; Now they are together and they represent authoritarianism. Look at what they have done with the students of the Autonomous University of Chihuahua, who have fought for what is in the Constitution, free education, and have received repression and threats,” she emphasized.
In response to this situation, Claudia Sheinbaum announced that she will bring free universities to Chihuahua, regardless of the opposition of the entity’s PAN government, headed by Maru Campos.
“We are going, whether the governor likes it or not, to bring universities to Chihuahua because it is for the young people of Chihuahua,” said the Morena candidate and her allies. Sheinbaum insisted that access to free education is a fundamental right that must be guaranteed throughout the country.
Buying the vote
Sheinbaum denounced vote-buying practices in Chihuahua, where the PAN and PRI offer a thousand pesos for each voter ID, as he noted.
In addition, he called on citizens not to sell their will and to exercise their right to vote freely on June 2.
“They have dedicated themselves to buying votes in the last month, offering a thousand pesos for a voter card because they do not want the people of Chihuahua to exercise their will. No more selling the voter card, it is the most powerful peaceful weapon they have. the people of Chihuahua to be able to define their destiny and their will,” Sheinbaum accused.
Sheinbaum recalled that in 10 days, Mexico will have the opportunity to make history and bring the first transformative woman to the Presidency of the Republic, ending a period of machismo and classism in the country.
“For the first time, after 200 years of the Republic, a woman president is going to arrive, a woman of the Transformation. We do not arrive alone, we arrive with the women of Juárez, with our grandmothers, with our mothers, with our daughters and with our granddaughters. Mexico is a free and sovereign country that left racism, classism and machismo behind,” he celebrated.
Miguel La Torre Sáenz, candidate for municipal president of Chihuahua, celebrated Sheinbaum’s visit, considering it a significant boost for the local campaign.
“Today we feel privileged to have this impulse, to have the privilege of having our beloved doctor Claudia Sheinbaum and to be able to send a message to all the people of Chihuahua and all of Mexico: that Chihuahua is ready for the Fourth Transformation to arrive,” he expressed.
“The PAN members will vote for Claudia”
For her part, Andrea Chávez, candidate for the Senate of the Republic, assured that even the PAN members will vote for Claudia Sheinbaum due to her integrity and leadership.
“Here, Dr. Claudia, even the PAN members are going to vote for you because they need something that we don’t. We have an intelligent, brave candidate who makes us proud; we don’t have to hide our presidential candidate like they do with us. their candidate from corruption,” concluded Chávez.
The event was attended by prominent members of Morena and its allies, including Mario Delgado, national president of Morena; Ricardo Monreal, Territorial Liaison Coordinator; and Juan Carlos Loera de la Rosa, candidate for the Senate, among others. Claudia Sheinbaum’s visit to Chihuahua is part of a national tour aimed at consolidating support for the “Let’s Keep Making History” coalition in the final stretch of the electoral campaign.
