“In Kiev the Russian troops are not advancing, they are using missiles and drones to besiege the living areas and the situation is very complicated, but the Ukrainian Armed Forces They are very strong and have a great deal of help from civilians who signed up for territorial protection, which is a group of civilians who can use weapons,” he said.
Regarding the rumors about the destruction of several bridges entering the capital of Ukraine by the same Ukrainian armed forces to prevent Russian troops from entering, the woman confirmed that it is true that they were demolished as part of the plan to protect Kiev.
Life in the shelters
Regarding the shelters, such as the subway stations, the woman highlighted the solidarity that exists in those places where thousands of families are found, since supplies such as water, food and medicine are shared among all.
“There are babies that have been born in those shelters and with that we can see that life continues in the midst of war. Life will always continue,” said Úrsula.

As for how the streets of the cities that are being attacked are at the moment, Úrsula said that the civilians are refugees while the Ukrainian troops fight against the Russians.
“In the streets there are only the armed troops and the people who are part of the territorial protection, the rest are in their houses or in the shelters to protect themselves from the missiles. In the streets of Kiev, which is the city that is being more attacked, everything is very complicated and the Ukrainian armed forces are fighting with forces that I honestly don’t know where they come from because they have been at war for three days and three nights,” he said.
Support for Ukraine
The ukrainian President, Volodymyr Zelensky, has claimed in recent times to feel alone in the absence of military support from other allied countries. On this, the woman shared with EL TIEMPO the perception that citizens have.
“We have felt alone during the war eights that preceded this invasion because the world did not want to recognize Russia’s aggression against Ukraine. Now we feel so alone because we see the demonstrations and demonstrations that are taking place in other cities, we feel the support from the European countries that send us weapons, economic aid. We feel better now because our president got that help fighting at all diplomatic levels.” he stated he.
Declaration of surrender?
Regarding a possible Ukrainian surrender, Úrsula shared her point of view and assured that Ukraine should not be neutral.
“Ukraine is at war, it is fighting for its freedom and it has no way of being ours. We have our territories or we have nothing. We won this war and managed to protect our population, our homeland, our democracy, our way of life or not. No we have how to be neutral, that is the position of several Ukrainians,” said the woman.

In addition, the ukrainian government He recently asked citizens not to share photos and videos on social networks of what is happening in the country right now, because that could put military operations at risk.
“These photos and videos can show the enemy where the Ukrainian armed forces are located at that moment and so the Russian troops can correct their missile turns to attack,” the woman explained.
