Citizen committees of Certosa protest at Palazzo Tursi: “No response from RFI on the possible presence of asbestos on construction sites”

Genoa – Protest today in the city council by the citizens’ committees of Certosa. With the cry of “subjects no, citizens yes”, about ten inhabitants of the peripheral neighborhood demonstrated outside Palazzo Tursi, then following the advice in the Sala Rossa. “We are here to protest because since 2019 we have been undergoing construction sites after construction sites and we never had answers to our questions – explained Enrico D’Agostino, president of the Free Citizens of Certosa committee – there were only “tables” with RFI which were only tables during which we did not have any observations answers. Today we are here to ask those who will listen to us the same questions that we have been asking the various bodies for years. First of all we want information on asbestos. We see people with masks but we have no information. We asked RFI if there was asbestos and first they replied “no”, then after showing them the videos they said that they had found something, then again “no”. But we have the documents from the Region which say that there is asbestos in the RFI construction site while in the subway construction site they had carried out a clean-up, warning all citizens correctly”.

The conference of group leaders then communicated during the city council meeting that the representatives of the committees would be received in conference.
