Cheerleading | A historic day in Finland at the European cheerleading championships – 13 Finnish teams in the finals

in Athens the semifinals of the European cheerleading championships were held on Saturday. No less than 13 teams from Finland made it to the finals, and one Finnish team made it to the semifinals.

At the European Championship, club teams compete in the sport. Five teams from a total of six series made it to the finals. There are therefore a whopping 13 Finnish teams among the thirty finalist teams. The winners of the series will be determined on Sunday.

“Finally, a very strong semi-final day behind us and the preparations for tomorrow’s final are really good. The result is already historic, as Finland has 13 teams in the final for the first time. We can be enormously proud of all the Finnish teams”, beamed the chairman Riikka Taivassalo Cheerleading Association on the website.
