Sgro was tasked with bringing Maserati back to its natural environment, the racetrack, and directed all operations within the ABB FIA Formula E World Championship and the Fanatec GT2 European Series. Giovanni was also involved in the development and launch of the exclusive Maserati MCXtrema halo car from the very beginning.
Effective October 1, 2024, Maria Conti will assume the position of Head of Maserati Corse, reporting directly to Davide Grasso, CEO of Maserati, and functionally to Jean-Marc Finot, Senior VP, Stellantis Motorsport.
Maria Conti has a consolidated experience in Communication in the automotive and lifestyle sector at an international level for over twenty years.
Previously, he held the role of Chief Communication Officer for the House of the Trident, after a professional career with iconic, premium and luxury brands.
Now, returning from maternity leave, Maria Conti is the first woman to head Maserati’s motorsport activities.
Cars and communication are part of its DNA: among its watchwords are competence, creativity and a lot of enthusiasm that it will also bring to the curbs, contributing to renewing the competitive spirit of the Brand.
