Xavier Lopez (Chabelo) and Mario Moreno (Cantinflas) teamed up in a 1960s comedy film that brought a lot of smiles. Chabelo was 27 years old when he gave life to a boy named Panchito and Cantinflas was 51 when he played an extra in various productions. Within hours of confirming the death of the actor and comedian, we remember this film that was directed by Miguel M. Delgado.
The scene that brought Chabelo and Cantinflas together
Chabelo was invited to participate in this scene, in which he would play a tall boy with short pants and a high-pitched voice who would go to ask the children of Rogaciano for money, a character played by cantinflas.
In this part you can see how Panchito, a character from Chabelo, arrives at the house of Rogaciano and is greeted by himself, who when he opens the door is a boy much taller than him. This is how he gets nervous and asks her how much his children owe him.
Panchito, at first, speaks between sobs and tells him that they broke his bicycle. Finally, he gives her the amount on a policy. Between pulls and claps, the scene that lasts less than four minutes would remain for everyone’s memory.
