Tedium prevailed in the New Mirandilla. Neither the good weather nor the spirit of the fans served to shake the boredom generated by Cádiz and Celta with tremendously thick football. The Celtic protagonists were their goalkeeper, Dituro, and their striker, Santi Mina. The first was hero and the second, villain. Coudet, as in Seville, failed again with the changes.
Diture: He saved his team with two prodigious hands. He flew in the first half to clear an acrobatic shot from Lozano at close range and at the buzzer he got a good header from Akapo on the same goal line. Impeccable.
Mallo: He gave the scare half an hour into the game when he demanded medical attention for some muscular discomfort, although he was finally able to continue. He suffered much more in the second half with Perea than in the first with Idrissi. He hardly lavished himself on attack.
Aido: The Ghanaian returned to show his sobriety, although this time without much fanfare. He kept Choco Lozano at bay and did not suffer with Lucas Pérez either.
Araujo: A bad clearance was his only mole. Like his partner at the back, he was firm at the rear, holding off Cadista attackers well. He tried to get the ball played from behind and even dared with a long shot that went quite wide.
Prince: One of his worst days as a celestial. He was not at all fine in attack and he was seen too accelerated in the defensive facet. Mateu warned him twice in the first half, but he continued to commit rude fouls and in the first of the second half he saw a yellow card.
Beltran: Tireless, as always. He continually offered to start the play in his own field and to support the movement in the opposite field. He quickly went to coverage and defensive aids. It’s a roadrunner.
Brais: Missing in action. He hardly participated in the game and Celta noticed him a lot. Even so, he was about to be decisive on the last play, with a good pass to Galhardo that left him alone against Ledesma.
Dennis: Very Inaccurate. He started the game with three errors in filtered passes that he is not used to failing. He took responsibility for a foul at the edge of the box, with permission from Aspas, but his shot crashed into the barrier.
cervi: He was one of the most active players in the first half, and yet Coudet left him in the locker room at half-time. The change of him can only respond to the fact of being with a yellow card or having a physical problem. He caused a foul at the edge of the area that was the only chance for Olivic in the first act.
Blades: Another who was tremendously active and ended up being replaced. He had to play Juan Palomo several times due to the ineffectiveness of his teammates. He starred in a great personal play by stealing a ball in his own field and reaching the bottom line of the rival area. He had a splendid battle with Chust, from whom he took advantage of a poor clearance to try with a volley left foot. His change is not understood.
Mine: He went from hero to villain in a matter of seconds. He provoked a penalty in the last minutes, but executed in a disastrous way and Ledesma closed the door of the goal. He assumed responsibility from eleven meters when Iago Aspas was not on the field. He buckled under the pressure like always.
Solari: He entered the break to replace Cervi, but did not contribute anything at all. Harmless and imprecise in offensive tasks. He helped, yes, Mallo in defense. He never skimps on efforts, but he lacked a lot of inspiration.
Wall: He is a shadow of the player who shone last season at Celta. He has a hard time plugging into the game every time he comes on as a shock. He plays tran tran, without rhythm and without the enormous physical display that characterizes him so much.
Galhardo: He doesn’t score a goal or the rainbow. He is denied from face to door and it begins to weigh on him mentally. He had the winning goal on the last play, but failed in the heads-up against Ledesma. As if that were not enough, he had gotten himself into a more than avoidable offside.
