Last Friday Konami, the famous video game company, auctioned some NFTs dedicated to Castlevania, the famous video game, on the occasion of the 35th anniversary of the series. The first portion of sales, which involved 14 unique pieces, ended with an incredibly positive record, according to what the site reported. VGC.
As anticipated at the beginning of the month, the company has put up for sale as many as 14 NFT, non-fungible tokens, dedicated to the famous series of games, with an average price of $ 12,000 per piece, thus exceeding $ 162,000 in takings, with some pieces sold at higher prices. The record goes to the NFT dedicated to the original map from the first game, which sold for $ 26,538.96.
The other pieces present they were also in the form of a short video with 3 minutes of gameplay, one of which sold for $ 17,518, with plenty of other pieces topping $ 17,000 for the price. Konami confirmed that buyers will have their nickname displayed on the official site dedicated to NFTs for the next 10 months.
Konami had confirmed earlier this month that this was only the first of many projects dedicated to NFTs, which will also involve other titles created by the famous Japanese giant. At the moment it is not yet clear which other games will be immortalized in this way, nor on which platform they will be sold.

The company is not the first to have started thinking about the sale of NFT, at the end of 2021 Ubisoft had presented its initiative, but the results obtained from this auction are record-breaking, especially given the hatred of many users towards this new type of market. One case is that of the video game developers STALKER 2, who had announced the start of an NFT campaign which was then canceled shortly thereafter.
