The podiums with Ten Voorde-Masters-Klein and in the Michelin Cup Gnemmi-Giorgi-Brusa are “safe”, but some balances change in the definitive classification of race 1 of the second round of the Porsche Carrera Cup Italia which took place this afternoon after the decisions taken by the race commissioners on the various episodes that occurred during the race.
In particular in the top-5/top-10, where everything revolves around the penalty given to Bertonelli. The Tuscan from TDE was penalized 5 seconds for having rear-ended Zendeli, with whom he was fighting for fifth position throughout the race, and taking advantage of it by overtaking him at Tosa.
Bertonelli was thus relegated from fifth to ninth, with the German from Ombra Racing “inheriting” the top-5, Stiak moving up to sixth, Cerqui, seventh and Iaquinta eighth (while Hall remained tenth).
Another penalty that weighs on the points won is the one given to Pujatti, guilty of a jump start which cost him the point of 15th place obtained at the finish line. The 25 seconds taken caused the Villorba Corse rookie to fall to 26th place, allowing Oliver Gray, a young Briton making his debut in the Italian Carrera Cup with Ombra Racing, to score the first point of his career in the Italian single-brand championship.
The last penalty of the day, in this case irrelevant, concerns Stefanelli for the “long” on the Tamburello which forced Pastorelli into Ghiaia at the start of the race: 25 seconds which, however, ultimately did not change anything in the Michelin Cup ranking, where the Tuscan of Team Malucelli remains sixth.
