Carlos Valdés, born in Cali, played in the country as a central defender in Real Cartagena, América de Cali and Santa Fe. In addition, in his best moments, he was part of the Colombian National Team from the U-20 category to the senior team. The retirement of him as a footballer, motivated in large part by injuries, occurred a couple of years ago.

Since then, Valdés has worked as a panelist for various sports programs in the country.
