Restaurants do not plan to raise prices for their services due to rising food prices. This was reported to Izvestia on Wednesday, September 28. in the Federation of Restaurateurs and Hoteliers (FRiO) of Russia.
“Restaurants do not plan to raise prices,” said Sergey Mironov, vice-president of FRiO.
According to Oleg Podgorny, General Director of Shokoladnitsa, the price increase will be suicidal for the restaurant business. He also added that the prices for meals in the chain of coffee houses will remain the same.
At the same time, as noted by the vice-president of the FRiO, there are no interruptions in the supply of products to cafes and restaurants.
Earlier, in August, industry representatives told Izvestia that the bar menu of Russian restaurants by the end of the year will consist of half of domestic products. Restaurateurs are actively entering into contracts with manufacturers in the Russian Federation and CIS countries, but so far short-term contracts to assess demand.
Russian gin, vodka, and more Crimean wines appeared in the menu of establishments. Now these drinks account for 10%. According to the assurances of the business, popular cocktails will remain in the bar lists. At the same time, there are no plans to change the pricing policy.
