The Italian jeweler Bulgari presented this Monday (21), in Rome, Italy, the Octo Finissimo Ultra, the thinnest mechanical watch in the world. At 1.8 mm, the accessory is close to that of a sheet of paper.
Octo represents the number eight, which refers to the brand’s eighth world record in watchmaking and the eight facets of the watch’s composition.
“This fabulous milestone that we are establishing today with the Octo Finissimo Ultra is indeed – for me and for all the teams – a dream come true. A dream that now guarantees that Bulgari will forever be recognized as having written some of the finest chapters in Swiss watchmaking. And the fact that the Maison is Italian makes us particularly proud,” said Jean-Christophe Babin, CEO Bulgari.

“Thanks to a QR code engraved on the watch’s ratchet wheel, the first ten owners of the Octo Finissimo Ultra will receive exclusive NFT artwork that guarantees the watch’s authenticity and uniqueness through blockchain technology.”
“The two authentication certificates will be linked: one for the artwork and one for the watch, which will encompass the set using Bvlgari Singvlarity technology. This represents the fusion of real and virtual worlds, past and future.”
