The question of whether the Brussels Salon would take place from 15 to 23 January 2022 has long been a matter of well-being. Since November 26, however, we know that the Heysel Palaces will remain empty during that period and that the Motor Show will de facto be moved to the showrooms of the different brands.
A unfortunate decision, but in hindsight perhaps the right one, certainly now that there is a fifth wave of corona infections as a result of the (then unknown) omikron variant.

However, organizer Febiac has come up with a solution to maintain the momentum during that period and still keep the car in the spotlight. From 14 to 31 January 2022, it will receive journalists and influencers in a production studio built entirely of transparent glass at a height of 45 meters on top of Palace 5, right opposite the atomium.
“With the pandemic, we have to constantly reinvent ourselves and we are constantly working on this. With its Rooftop Studio, Febiac wants to put the individual mobility of tomorrow in the spotlight and aims at a confrontation between the visions of the new generations Y+Z and those of the representatives of our industry, politicians, opinion makers and BVs.” (Gabriel Goffoy, Febiac’s new communications director)
