“Blue, in name and in fact, bright as the sky on a sunny day”. This is how Antonella Furlan remembers her daughter, Azzurra Carnelosa strong and stubborn young 34-year-old woman, inclined to always see the glass half full, even during difficulties.

Originally from Oderzo (Treviso), she had faced breast cancer in 2019, defeated thanks to the ability to always get back up, in all circumstances, without ever curling up in pain. Then his main concern was to become a mother.

Despite the return of the disease during pregnancy, she fought with determination, keeping the smile on her face for the sake of the child she was carrying in her womb. A strong maternal instinct was inherent in her, and she would have even taken risks to achieve conception, even to the point of suspending cancer treatments.

That fight carried out with awareness of oneself and one's means led to the desired results on August 2nd, when little Antonio was bornbringing joy into the lives of Azzurra and Francesca.

Despite the challenges posed along the way, Azzurra found comfort in the love of family and friends, knowing she was lucky to have people close to her.

Francesco remained by her side in all circumstances, in good times and in bad, demonstrating unconditional feelings. As the disease worsened, rather than back down, she redoubled her efforts. If before he was a support figure, his sad developments have pushed him to devote himself completely to the cause. He remained next to Azzurra day and night, until April 14, four days before his birthday.

Having completed his studies brilliantly, he had found a rewarding job in a bank. The family has decided to donate the donations to the neonatal intensive care unit of the Cà Foncello hospital in Treviso.
