According to Spanish media, the aggressor filed a complaint against the boxer days later.
His lawyer said they will try to avoid trial by reaching an agreement. He stated that Barrul was already summoned to the police station for this altercation.
“We are going to negotiate it, we know what he has done right and what he has done wrong,” said Raúl Castañeda, Barrul’s lawyer.
“We are going to try to reach an agreement, because the forgiveness has already been made public,” he added. And he said that there will be financial compensation to the other party.
The boxer’s reaction could be reported as a minor crime. The lawyer assured that the athlete is harassed by the press about this fact and that he will soon have competition, but that all this has affected him.
