United States.- Agents of the United States Border Patrol at the station Eagle Pass of the Del Rio Sector They rescued a Nicaraguan woman who was trapped in the Rio Grande.
According to what was reported by the authority, the rescue took place on February 16 at 11:15 a.m. when 20 migrants tried to enter the United States illegally by wading the Rio Grande near Rosseta Orchard.
It was not until moments after the entry was detected that three Nicaraguan minors informed agents that their mother was still in the river.
Immediately a Marine Unit of the EEagle Pass South Station he answered and observed an adult woman in the river unable to continue towards the shore.
The woman was clinging to the undergrowth of a cane that grew on the river bank and was in danger of being swept away by the strong current.
After the rescue, the woman informed immigration agents that her legs had gone numb in the freezing water.

Agents were able to get the woman to safety and reunite her with her children. She did not appear to be injured and she did not request medical assistance. After this fact, all the subjects were processed under the policies of the US Customs and Border Protection agency.
