Border control | A Russian man tried to enter Finland with a fake Bulgarian passport

The Finnish Immigration Service imposed a five-year ban on the man from entering the Schengen area at the request of the Southeastern Finland border guard.

According to a press release from the Border Guard of Southeast Finland, a man from Russia presented a Bulgarian passport at the border inspection. However, the border inspector found factors indicating forgery in the passport, which is why the man was taken in for a closer inspection.

The document investigation revealed that the man’s Bulgarian passport was forged. Other documents found in the man’s belongings also turned out to be false. In addition, three gas atomizers and a radar detector were found in the man’s possession.

Male is suspected of being guilty of forgery, possession of counterfeit material, a minor firearms offense and a detection device violation.
