A Datafolha poll points out that 53% of Brazilians disapprove of the way in which President Jair Bolsonaro (PL) administers the country at the end of his third year in office. It follows, thus, with the worst level of assessment among the population, showing stability in relation to the last survey released last September. Only 22% of all respondents rated the government as good or great. 24% have already answered that it is regular.
The low approval of the president’s government, according to the institute, is between 51% of the share that earns up to 2 minimum wages, where he gets a 17% good/great rating. In the Northeast, it has 58% of bad/very bad. Also among young people aged 16 to 24, the percentage of failure reaches 59%.
Datafolha shows that, as income increases, the evaluation improves, and the only segment in which its approval surpasses its disapproval is among those interviewed who declare themselves to be entrepreneurs. In this niche, the current president’s government achieves 50% good/great against 36% bad/very bad. Already on the evangelical basis, Bolsonaro has 33% approval, but 39% disapprove.
The survey also indicated that Jair Bolsonaro is rejected as a candidate for re-election by 60% of those interviewed.
The survey was carried out with 3,666 people in 191 cities, between the 13th and 16th of December. The margin of error is plus or minus two points.
Lula has 48%, Bolsonaro 22% and Moro 9%
The same survey showed that former president Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva (PT) maintains leadership in the presidential race and has 48% of voting intentions. Bolsonaro has 22%, Sérgio Moro (Podemos), 9%, Ciro Gomes (PDT), 7%, and João Doria (PSDB), 4%. According to the survey, the PT’s advantage would be enough for a victory in the first round. The entry of the former judge in the election caused a dispute for the so-called third way. Blanks and nulls add up to 8%. Another 2% said they did not know who to vote for.
The institute carried out a survey with another scenario, with more candidates. But there is no difference at the front. In a dispute with more names, Lula has 47%, Bolsonaro, 21%, Moro, 9%, Ciro, 7% and Doria, 3%. In this scenario, senator Simone Tebet (MDB) appears with 1%, the same number as the president of the Senate, Rodrigo Pacheco (PSD). Former minister Aldo Rebelo (no party), senator Alessandro Vieira (Citizenship) and political scientist Luiz Felipe d’Avila (Novo) did not score.
