On X, politicians and personalities use the hashtag “#Bis NuncaMais”; government senators come to the defense of influencer
Politicians and personalities linked to the former president Jair Bolsonaro (PL) promoted a boycott on social media of chocolate manufacturers Lacta due to a Bis advertising campaign with influencer and YouTuber Felipe Neto. He is critical of Bolsonaro and supported the president Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva (PT) in the 2022 elections.
On X (formerly Twitter), the hashtag “#Bis NuncaMais” was used to criticize advertising featuring Neto. The term entered the social network’s Trending Topics.
“And of course, #BisNãoMais”wrote the federal deputy Nikolas Ferreira (PL-MG) in your profile.
The leader of the Opposition in the Chamber of Deputies, Carlos Jordy (PL-RJ), published an image with KitKat chocolates, from Nestlé, and said that “no one will finance Felipe Neto” in your home.
The federal deputy André Fernandes (PL-CE) said he liked the boycott and stated that the influencer and YouTuber is “one of the guys who preach the most hate on the Brazilian internet”.
“This is a lesson! #BisNeverMore”, he wrote on X.
“Bis hasn’t posted anything for three days and pretends he doesn’t know Felipe Neto. How boring, huh… but it’s deserved”, he wrote the former president of FCP (Fundação Cultural Palmares) during the Bolsonaro government, Sergio Camargo (PL-SP). He ran for federal deputy in 2022, but was not elected.
To the Medium&Messagethe company that owns Lacta, Mondelez, said that hiring influencers “are related solely to their relevance in the gamer and entertainment universe, without any link or political support of any kind”.
“As a leader in the snacks market in Brazil and around the world, Mondelez reaffirms its absolute respect for diversity of opinions”, he stated. The campaign with Felipe Neto was announced on Tuesday (10.Oct) during the podcast “PodPah.”
GOVERNMENTISTS SUPPORT FELIPE NETO
In reaction to the boycott, senators Humberto Costa (PT-PE) and Randolfe Rodrigues (no party-AP), leader of the Government in the National Congress, reacted in support of the influencer. In a video published on social media, the two appear eating Bis. Humberto still says he is “a waste of time for Bolshominions to want to attack Felipe Neto”.
“Coming from those who consumed chloroquine, the boycott of such delicious chocolate is a compliment!”wrote Randolfe.
Coming from those who consumed chloroquine, the boycott of such delicious chocolate is a compliment! Like this @felipeneto, in 2022 Brazil asked for a BIS of everything our country had to offer: a vaccine in the arm, a booming economy and food on the plate. Now all that’s left is Bolsa Bis for people to stay… pic.twitter.com/nRZVYRxyeq

The federal deputy Carla Zambelli (PL-SP) reacted to the support of the senators. “More reasons not to eat anything from Lacta”, he wrote.
