Boca Juniors closes the door on James Rodríguez: ‘We are not considering it’

Meanwhile, the rumor this Tuesday was with Boca, but it was quickly denied by the leadership itself.

The Colombian Mauricio ‘Chicho’ Serna, member of the Boca Council, faced the issue and confessed the club’s position on the version of the alleged interest in James Rodríguez.

“Who wouldn’t like to have James Rodríguez on their team?” was the first reaction of ‘Chicho’ Serna, in a chat with ‘Vbar Caracol’

“Many rumors come out here, especially now that the pass book is opened, the strong book that comes with the whole issue of Europe. For Boca there is an offer or there is talk of many footballers. James is a world player, not to mention his conditions and how he plays and shines in the National Team, but from there to having him, there is a very long road. I’m not the one to say, ‘let’s go for James,’ but I’m not the one to say, ‘we’re not interested,’” Serna added.

However, today Boca has not decided on signings for the next semester. “That we have sat down to look at that possibility of James, no, we are not contemplating itbecause he is a great soccer player who is in Brazil and it is not easy to bring him because the competition is very strong, there is a lot of money involved,” confessed ‘Chicho’.

“No name has been mentioned because we have 4 dates left in Sudamericana and others in the championship. There is a break for the Copa América and that is when the transfer market opens. Today there is no possibility of doing anything until the transfer market opens,” Serna insisted, to dismiss interest in James, or any other footballer.
