A user made the first 10 minutes of gameplay of Bloodborne like was a title released on PS1 as part of a fan made project intent on recreating the entire title FromSoftware, bearing the title of Bloodborne PSX.
Fan made projects are nothing new. Over the years we have gone from mod of 16 bit games from the Super Nintendo Entertainment System era and Sega Mega Drive to more advanced works such as 4K rendering of titles released on Nintendo 3DS. All this demonstrates thelove from fans, who never miss an opportunity to unleash their creativity.
Cases like this are called “demake“, Since they intend to do the opposite of the update, of the”remake“, And over the years technology has allowed the most gifted to make video games and set them up as they came out on first PlayStation. A recent example is the simulation of the game 1, 2, 3, Stella as seen in the Netflix series Squid Game, which we talked about in our dedicated article.
The user in question, Lilith Walther, is doing a demake of Bloodborne, the famous title signed Hidetaka Miyazaki released as a PS4 exclusive. The video is available on YouTube and shows the first 10 minutes of gameplay in full, complete with a main menu and character customization.
Starting with a retro touch with theaspect ratio in 4: 3 and scanlinand that characterized the old cathode ray tube televisions, the video shows all the first steps that the protagonist takes inside the Iosefka Clinic, complete with arrival at the area Dream of the Hunter. Even the werewolf attack and the presence of the messengers have been recreated in great detail.
Lilith Walther explained that there were a few things to refine within the clinic, eliminating some details that would have made the PS1-style area a nightmare. As for the Hunter’s Dream, there have not been many alterations, but overall we can see how much dedication he has spent in making this demake.
The idea is to make a complete demake from Bloodborne as it was released on PS1 and we can only wait curiously and see the results step by step. The soundtrack is entrusted to The Noble Demon, who made the track The Night Unfurls, listenable along the gameplay.
