Bloober Team – which in this period is best known as the team working on the remake of Silent Hill 2 (the date of which will be announced “soon”) – recently shared a financial report, which made it possible to discover that the Polish company is working on a new IP with Private Division (Take-Two Interactive's label). This new title is cataloged internally as “Project C“.
Furthermore, there is another project in production under publisher Skybound Entertainment which is known as “Project R“: it seems that the announcement regarding this game will take place next year.
In other words, at the moment the team would be working on at least three projects: Silent Hill 2, Project C with Take-Two Interactive and Project R with Skybound Entertainment. Obviously it is not a given that the two Projects will see the light: it is normal for the video game market that a video game is abandoned in the development phase because the two parties do not consider it promising enough once it has started to take shape.
Project C and Project R: what do we know?
Going deeper Project CBloober Team explains that “Project C, which we are working on together with Private Division (Take-Two Interactive), is currently at an advanced stage and we are very satisfied with the progress made. This will be Bloober Team's next big step to implement a strategy long-term. It will also be the first original project (the intellectual property belongs to Bloober Team) under the new strategy.”
With regard to Project Rthe “presentation” is scheduled for 2025. “The Issuer concluded a licensing and publishing agreement with Skybound Game Studios on 20 December 2023 […] pursuant to which the Issuer has been granted a license to create a game based on the IP owned by Skybound, which will be used as part of the production of the Issuer's new project codenamed Project R”, Bloober told its shareholders.
