Seahawks spent weeks with no injured quarterback Wilson
Seattle The star quarterback Russell Wilson has to take a break for several weeks and puts his team, the Seattle Seahawks, in a difficult position.
The Seattle Seahawks of the American Football League NFL have to do without their quarterback Russell Wilson for several weeks. The 31-year-old playmaker underwent an operation on his right middle finger on Friday (local time).
According to a report on the NHL website, several screws were inserted into Wilson to stabilize the finger. Wilson threatened to be out for about six weeks, it said.
The quarterback injured his throwing hand in the Seahawks’ 17:26 loss to the Los Angeles Rams on Thursday. Since starting his career in Seattle in 2012, he has played all of the following 165 games. No currently active quarterback has a long series of starts in the starting line-up. He will now be replaced by Geno Smith, who had taken Wilsons place against the Rams.
