Bitcoin, Eric Adams paid in cryptocurrencies and tweets: “New York will be the center of the digital coin industry”
The newly elected mayor of New York will receive his first three salaries in Bitcoin. To announce it anyway Eric Adams, who said, “We always do great in New York, so I’ll take my first three salaries in Bitcoin when I become mayor. NYC will be the center of the cryptocurrency industry and other innovative and fast growing industries! ”he tweeted Adams yesterday, Thursday 4th November.
Ever since he won the race for the mayor of the Big Apple earlier this week, Adams he talked more and more about hugging Bitcoin and, in general, the cryptocurrency sector. This Wednesday he promised to remodel “his” city into one crypto-friendly city.
But Adams he is not the only American politician who loves digital coins. The mayor of Miami Francis Suarez, this Tuesday, two days before the announcement of Adams, had tweeted that he would receive the next salary entirely in Bitcoin.
But what is under the joint choice of the two mayors? The announcements of Adams and the mayor of Miami came in response to the cryptocurrency investor and co-founder of Morgan Creek Digital Assets, Anthony Pompliano, who on Tuesday tweeted: “Who will be the first American politician to accept his salary in Bitcoin?” It seems clear that the two mayors have taken up the “challenge”.
