Joe Biden’s average approval rating during his tenure as president of the United States has become one of the lowest in the history of the United States. The company announced this on January 20 Morning Consult.
Biden’s average annual approval rating was 49%. Barack Obama had a similar figure. Only two presidents had lower figures – Ronald Reagan in January 1982 (48%) and Donald Trump in January 2018 (38%). Approval ratings for other presidents have not fallen below 54% since 1954.
The report says that the maximum rate of “people’s love” for Biden is noted in January and April of last year – 57%. At the beginning of 2022, the president’s rating fell to 40%, becoming the lowest since he began his work as head of state.
On December 20, 2021, it became known that the activities of Joe Biden as President of the United States do not suit 55% of the country’s population, including 44% categorically disapprove of the work of the American leader.
According to a similar poll published on October 31 by NBC News, 54% of US citizens opposed Biden’s activities.
On August 23, a poll by The Hill showed a sharp drop in Biden’s rating to 49% among the US population after the capture of Afghanistan by militants of the radical Taliban group (the organization is under UN sanctions for terrorist activities). At the same time, at the beginning of the month, the activities of the American leader were approved by 55% of Americans.
In addition, in late August, members of the Republican Party of the United States called for Biden’s impeachment or resignation amid bombings in the Afghan capital.
