Culiacán, Sinaloa.- With tears on his face and a tired voice, María Rosales Torres, grandmother of Juan Luis Lagunas Rosales, better known as “The Pirate of Culiacan“ He revealed part of the harsh life that his grandson faced from the early years of childhood until his unfortunate death.
This was revealed by the Pirate’s grandmother in an interview conducted by ethe youtuber, Margarito Music, where he recounted some of the moments in the Pirate’s life, as well as some problems he got into at a very young age.
Rosales Torres mentioned that she took care of her grandchildren when the Pirate was only three years old, at that time, They lived in Loreto, Oaxaca, but it was not until Juan Luis was 5 years old that they moved Navolato, Sinaloa.
He explained that as best he could, he worked to support his two grandchildren, selling tamales, pozole or as a day laborer in the fields, however, despite this effort, his grandson “he never wanted to do anything good”Well, after he started working as a bagger, he met bad people and started with small crimes like stealing for which he was arrested.
The lady added that, for this reason, her grandson was admitted to a rehabilitation center where he remained for two years and despite the fact that “The Pirate of Culiacan” He begged her to get him out of that place, she didn’t agree until she couldn’t stand seeing her grandson locked up anymore, because she recognized that she loved him very much.
With tears on her face, María Rosales mentioned that she went through the entire process to be able to get her grandson out, however, after taking him home, her boy escaped and went to Culiacán where he began to work as a windshield wiper and after that moment the young man did not want to return because shortly after he tried to enter the world of drug trafficking, which he did not succeed.
Despite the fact that he returned home several times and his grandmother told him that he would straighten out his life, the young man returned to Culiacán where the story of the character that many already know began.
María Rosales explained that the news of the murder of her grandson in Guadalajara came suddenly at a time when she was ill, so it was her daughters who traveled to identify the body of her grandson.
The last moments in the life of the Pirate recognized that they were very difficult, because since his fame began he did not return home and only kept in touch by phone because the person who promoted him, “the musician” required her or some relative to sign in for the plane because her grandson was still a minor.
The lady also mentioned that she did not see any of the money that her grandson earned, nor did she see one of the great dreams of “El Pirata” come to an end, that of giving her a house, because the young man was murdered a few days later.
