The soap opera that does not go out of style “I am Betty, the ugly one” continues to give more information to the taste of its fans despite having spent almost 20 years since its grand finale.

The actress who gave life to this character, Natalia Ramírez, spoke with the Colombian journalist Carlos Ochoa and recalled part of the moments that were experienced in front of and behind the scenes of “Betty, la fea”. As he shared, while recording the last stage of the novel, she and Lorna Paz (Patricia Fernández) signed a contract with Telemundo. “The agreement said that we had to travel outside Colombia, we notified RCN Television,” he said.
“We were already very tired. We were really exhausted. We had been recording for two and a half years and we had told Gabriel Reyes (president of RCN at the time) that we would be leaving in four months. Our last day on set was when we said goodbye in the elevator. I left on a Friday and on Monday I was in Miami recording. We did that crazy thing,” the actress shared.
Unable to postpone their trip and despite all the conflict they caused, both withdrew from “Betty, la fea”. His departures caused his characters to be left without a precise ending.
In the soap opera, Marcela decides to leave Ecomoda after realizing that Armando is in love with Betty. In the final scene, Patricia asks her where she is going and she says that she is not sure. Without delay, the “peliteñida” grabs her bag and leaves with her best friend.
