A hard-fought victory for Betis Deportivo in the match corresponding to the tenth day of the league championship in Group II of the First Federation against Yeclano. Carlos Reina’s two goals, the first in the 53rd minute and the second in the 85th minute, made Arzu’s pupils win again at home in the Luis del Sol sports city, after the victory achieved against Recreativo de Huelva ( 3-1) on September 7.
Under the rain that fell on the southern part of Seville throughout the afternoon of this Saturday, the Heliopolitan first reserve team gradually worked toward victory, again with an immeasurable Guilherme Fernandes in goal. The Portuguese goalkeeper contributed to the victory of the young Heliopolitans with two good interventions, especially in the second half. The goalposts were also in favor of the green and white interests, since on two occasions the Yeclano footballers crashed into the wood.
After the initial 0-0 score with which the game went to half-time, in the 53rd minute Carlos Reina put Arzu’s team ahead. The Heliopolitan youth player came on at half-time, along with Jesús Rodríguez, and shortly after entering the game he scored the first goal of the afternoon for the Betis. Jesús Rodríguez himself had a great chance a few minutes later to have extended the lead, but his one-on-one with the visiting goalkeeper Borja Martí crashed into the goalkeeper’s body.
The second goal did arrive with five minutes remaining in regulation ninety. An attack on the right wing ended with the center towards the heart of the area where once again Carlos Reina, with a shot that grazed a visiting defender, managed to beat the Yeclano goalkeeper.
