Updated:
A mask requirement is to apply this year at Berlin Christmas markets.
Berlin – However, the obligation does not apply if the market only opens to vaccinated and convalescent people, as the Senate announced on Tuesday. The absolute upper limit of a maximum of 25,000 visitors has also been removed. The relative upper limit for events remains at a maximum of half capacity.
According to the Senate resolution, the data of the participants do not have to be collected on site at the Christmas markets if they are already known otherwise – for example through the advance sale of personalized tickets. The amended Corona Protection Ordinance for Berlin comes into force on October 30th.
