The process of updating the Battlefield 2042 continues, trying to recover the lost ground also thanks to the intensive internal restructuring at DICE. We have therefore seen the start of season 2, full of changes that however find ample prominence also in this update, introducing a new ground vehicle and above all, the extensive renewal of Rebirth.
These are the news:
- New Vehicle: Polaris RZR: Initially unveiled during the Season 2: Weapon Mastery launch, this lightweight vehicle allows players and a teammate to speed across the battlefield at high speed.
- New Vault Weapons: The iconic weapons from Battlefield 3 and Battlefield: Bad Company 2 have made their way into Battlefield 2042. Battlefield 3’s compact P90, Battlefield: Bad Company 2 GOL Sniper Magnum and M1911 are now unlockable via the new allocation system.
- New Rebirth Map: Thanks to player feedback, the development team has significantly reworked the Rebirth map, with a focus on improving the melee experience. The improvements aim to reduce the crossing time between flags and objectives by modifying different sections of the map.
- Miscellaneous Improvements and Fixes: With Update 2.1, a number of improvements have been introduced throughout the game, including:
– Fixes to reduce cases of mouse input latency
– Balance optimization for attack and transport helicopters and the Nightbird.
– Irish’s APS-36 Shootdown Sentinel has been improved to ensure blocking of M320 LVG and M26 Mass Frag grenades.
– Fixed an issue where AM40 and Avancys bullets were being identified as SMG bullets.
