Alex Lowes in trouble
Fourth time, despite a fall in turn 10, for Sam Lowes as the best independent rider. A less exciting day, however, was experienced by his brother Alex, current leader of the world championship ranking after the successes obtained in Australia in the Superpole Race and race 2. His activity was conditioned by one fall on turn 10 when there was just over half an hour to go. The crash also resulted in the session being suspended for a few minutes.
Worth a mention too Danilo Petrucci, seventh at 1,380 thousandths from Bulega. The rider from Terni tried the new SCX tire from Pirelli. A really bad day instead for the wave which saw Iker Lecuona (Team HRC) and Xavi Vierge held back by technical problems during the morning. Today is day-2.
