Barça confirmed this Thursday that it will wear the Coldplay logo on the shirt it will wear in the Clásico on October 26 at the Santiago Bernabéu. By virtue of the agreement with Spotify, the Barça team has carried several logos of singers that have appeared on the club’s kit in matches against Real Madrid. The English band becomes the fifth to appear in the elastic culé, after Karol G, Rolling Stones, Rosalía and Drake.
The Coldplay logo that will appear on the shirt is inspired, according to a statement from Barça, in the tenth album ‘Moon Music’ that the British released on October 4. The men’s team will not be the only ones to wear this shirt: the women’s first team will also wear it in the November 2 match against Eibar.
This special edition of the Barça first kit will go on sale this Friday. Of course, it has only two exclusive editions: one of them will have 1,899 units and another, of which there will be only 22, will have a fluorescent effect on the logo and will have the signature of the players who start the matches in those who will take the shirt. Beyond the t-shirts, starting Friday a clothing line will go on sale with t-shirts, sweatshirts and a scarf that combine graphic elements of ‘Moon Music’ with those of Barça and Spotify.
The culés explain that the proceeds from the two collections will go to a joint project of the UN Refugee Agency (UNHCR) and the Fundació FC Barcelona.
