Credit institutions are ready to meet the needs of mobilized clients if necessary, their representatives told Izvestia on Friday, September 23.
In particular, Zenit Bank is going to apply a deferment provided for by credit holidays or its own restructuring program. In any case, borrowers from families where there are members of the SVO will receive support and an adequate attitude towards their obligations, Sovcombank assured.
“The call for mobilization is not a basis for terminating the loan agreement. Such clients will receive the status of a military man under the contract, will be provided with maintenance and will be able to make payments on a mortgage or loan. But in the event that the borrower for some reason is unable to fulfill his obligations, he can apply for a vacation for up to six months,” said Anna Sevostyanova, Managing Director of the Mortgage Business Development Center, UBRD.
Speaking about approaches to assessing clients in conditions of partial mobilization, the Crimean RNKB and UBRD assured that they did not change their requirements. The bank’s special program to support borrowers in a difficult situation also applies to citizens mobilized into the ranks of the Armed Forces, said Andrey Spivakov, Chief Executive Officer of Home Credit. He added that the bank will also be guided by the recommendations of the Central Bank (CB) in the implementation of measures.
The Central Bank does not expect creditors to take a long time to implement restructuring programs for mobilized citizens, the regulator told Izvestia, pointing to the experience of financial organizations in implementing similar support programs earlier.
