There is expectation for the results of the ballot of the municipal elections in Rome which will tell who is the winner between Roberto Gualtieri, candidate of the center-left, and Enrico Michetti, exponent of the center-right.

The candidates
To compete for the seat of mayor of Rome are Roberto Gualtieri, candidate of the center-left, and Enrico Michetti, aspiring mayor of the center-right.
The two exponents reached the second round after the results of the first round, which took place on 3 and 4 October last, in which none of the candidates in the running was able to reach 50% plus one of the consents.
In fact, in the first round, Enrico Michetti was the most successful candidate voted with 30.4% of the votes, equal to 334,548 preferences, while Roberto Gualtieri stopped at 27.03%, earning 299,976 votes.
Outside the ballot, however, the other two great candidates of this electoral round of the capital, namely Carlo Calenda, who finished third with 19.81%, equal to 219,878 preferences, and the outgoing mayor Virginia Raggi, who stopped at 19, 09% getting 211,936 votes.
