Ayesaa global provider of technology and engineering services, has renewed its contract with the Council of Pharmacists of the Basque Country and the Official Colleges of Pharmacists of Álava, Bizkaia and Gipuzkoa, to continue with the electronic prescription service in the territory.
This agreement, which extends until 2028, reinforces Ayesa’s commitment to guaranteeing the continuity, improvement and evolution of the technological services that support the ‘e-Rezeta’ system in Euskadi. With this renewal, the company strengthens its relationship of more than a decade with the Basque pharmaceutical sector, promoting an infrastructure that connects more than 800 pharmacies with the health system of the region.
The contracted service is designed to ensure that pharmacy offices have a reliable, agile and accessible system that facilitates the dispensing of medications through electronic prescription.
Thanks to the integration with the Health Department of the Basque Government and the Basque Health Service-Osakidetza, the system allows pharmacists to safely and efficiently manage the dispensing and monitoring of prescribed medications, providing added value to the patient care process in Euskadi.
The agreement incorporates a strategic approach to continuous improvementwhere Ayesa will implement evolutionary improvements in the software and develop specific projects to update and modernize the tools, as the needs of the service change.
Thus, the electronic prescription system will be able to incorporate new technological advances and respond quickly to regulatory requirementsuser demands and the most advanced security standards.
Three areas of action
The contract is structured in three areas. The first is the user service center, which constitutes a key pillar for support and resolving daily incidents. Thus, it is responsible for direct attention to pharmaceutical professionals and highlights the coordination with communications providers and other agents for the aforementioned resolution of incidents, as well as the management of technical and security documentation.
For its part, the technical office is focused on management and communication node maintenance that links the pharmacy offices with the Health Department and Osakidetza systems. It is responsible for supervising, evolving and maintaining the collegiate node software so that it works without interruptions, and coordinates and assists the pharmacy management application providers (AGFs).
The third area corresponds to Infrastructure maintenance services. This service includes preventive, corrective and evolutionary maintenance of the servers, communication systems and databases that support the electronic prescription system in Euskadi.
