Jansén: “We spent the time creating a new zone of Pandora and the tools needed to bring it to life on the latest generation of consoles and PC.” The work was done in collaboration with Lightstorm Entertainment, James Cameron’s production company.
“The heart of the game is the Snowdrop, our engine. When we first met Lightstorm, the Snowdrop showed our partners that we wanted to push the limits of technology, like they do with movies. It has been and will be the foundation of our collaboration.”
Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora is one of Ubisoft’s games due out in 2023 on PC, Xbox Series X and S, and PS5. The Ubisoft Massive title should be released between April 1, 2023 and March 31, 2024, i.e. during the next fiscal year, in a period that promises to be really difficult for Ubisoft, given the recent news on postponements and cancellations.
