Tondero’s new movie, autoerotic, was written and directed by Andrea Hoyos and had the help of the Ministry of Culture. The film stars Rafaella Mey and Micaela Céspedes, and focuses on the sexual exploration of women during adolescence and on the friendship and solidarity between women.
The film is produced and directed by women and the cast only has the presence of three men: César Ritter, Beto Benites and Renato Rueda. What is Autoerotica about?
The film follows the story of Bruna and how she develops her sexuality during a summer in Lima and how this sexuality makes her reaffirm the relationship she has with the women in her life, her mother and her friend. Director Hoyos describes it as a film of friendship, solidarity, but above all a lot of love that revolutionizes inside.
How did the name Autoerotica come about?
The writer Andrea Hoyos indicated in an interview with La República that some people when they hear the name of the film think that it is a porn movie, but she clarified that in reality it focuses on auto-erotism and the search for autonomy over the body. . On the other hand, she added that the name came about thanks to the song “Autoerotica” by Gloria Trevi.
