Audi's car production slows down. The four-ring car manufacturer will in fact cut assembly operations at its plant in Brussels, Belgium, for two weeks starting yesterday, therefore from February 5th to the 19th of the same month: this was reported by the German weekly Automobilwoche, adding that the situation will be evaluated from week to week by professionals to understand how best to move.
Two weeks off
What led Audi to make this decision would have been the shortage of components, an obstacle which according to the latest rumors could lead to further production cuts after the two weeks mentioned above. What will be the fate of the Audi plant in Brussels? We don't know yet, what is certain is that, again according to the German weekly Automobilwoche, the brand with the four rings is planning to renew its global production network, which is why it may move the assembly operations of its Q8 e-tron SUV to Mexico or China. The site's unions said they were waiting for a message from the works council.
