Next June 14th it will finally be available Shin Megami Tensei V: Vengeancethe definitive version of the title that we originally saw on Nintendo Switch in 2021. To eliminate any confusion that the two packages could cause to the public, Atlus has made the controversial decision to completely eliminate Shin Megami Tensei V from the Switch eShop.
Through a statement, It has been confirmed that next June 13 will be the last day on which it will be possible to purchase the digital version of Shin Megami Tensei V in the Nintendo Switch eShop, as well as all the DLC packages available for this installment. Starting June 14, the game will disappear from this digital platform.
If you have the original Shin Megami Tensei V completely digital, You will still be able to discard this version after June 14, so this decision affects only those who have not purchased this title. This is a measure to avoid some type of confusion, at least on Nintendo Switch, since some people may think that Vengeance It is just a DLC or a package with all the expansions and additional content that came to the original delivery.
We remind you that Shin Megami Tensei V: Vengeance not only does it include the original experience that we saw in 2021, It also includes a new campaign, more demons, new mechanics, and much more. Along with this, all the DLC that came to SMTV will be available in Vengeanceand that includes the fight against the Demi-Fiend and the additional demons.
We remind you that It will be available next June 14 Shin Megami Tensei V: Vengeance on PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch and PC, and that same day it will disappear Shin Megami Tensei V from the eShop. Author’s Note:
These practices are never good. While I understand Atlus’ decision, and Vengeance It is the definitive version of Shin Megami Tensei Vit is undeniable that eliminating part of the history of a series is something that should not happen, and I hope that Atlus changes its opinion in the future, especially considering that this did not happen with Persona 5 and Persona 5 Royal.
