Atalanta will visit Bayer Leverkusen this Thursday, in search of passage to the quarterfinals of the Europa League. The Italian club arrive with a 3-2 lead, achieved last week in the first leg in Bergamo. The game will be at 12:45 pm.
The Colombian Luis Fernando Muriel appears among those summoned and hopes to continue scoring in the competition. Precisely, against Leverkusen, he got the first two goals in this edition of the tournament.

Muriel has eight goals in the Europa League: two with Atalanta, three with Sevilla, one with Sampdoria and two with Udinese.
Atalanta, with problems in Serie A
The week has not been good for Atalanta. They could not get past the goalless draw at home, against a Genoa that is close to salvation. However, today they remain in the qualifying zone for the next edition of the Europa League, but far from the possibility of going to the Champions League.
It seems that the team led by Italian Gian Piero Gasperini cannot perform at its best in the domestic championship and in the Europa League at the same time. Over the weekend, Genoa, despite being inferior, faced the match as equals and was able to take all three points, but they were not successful in the offensive section.

Muriel, starting in the league again, performed at a high level, but it was not enough for the locals. In fact, the Colombian international crashed into the wood with a shot placed with his right leg that would have made it 1-0 in the first half.
It should be remembered that the other Colombian from Atalanta, Duván Zapata, is injured and will miss the rest of the season.
