Former American First Lady Melania Trump assured this Thursday that on January 6, 2021, the day of the assault on the Capitol, she was fulfilling her obligations officials and did not condemn the violence that had been unleashed because it was not informed of the disturbances.

“If I had been fully informed of all the details, of course I would have reported immediately the violence that took place on Capitol Hill,” he said in an interview on the conservative Fox network.

That afternoon, she noted, she was busy recording the renovations that had taken place in the presidential residence.
“Like all the first ladies who came before me, it was my obligation to record the contents of the historic rooms of the White House, which included taking stock photos of all renovations. Months in advance I prepared a skilled team of photographers, archivists and designers to ensure a flawless execution,” she said.
Donald Trump’s wife specified that they had agreed to complete the job just on January 6. According to Melania Trump, it was a job that required “great care, attention to detail and concentration, both in planning and execution.”
His version contrasts with the one offered with his former chief of staff Stephanie Grisham, who on June 28 published a screenshot on Twitter with an alleged conversation with the first lady.
“Do you want to tweet that every American has the right to demonstrate peacefully and that there is no place for violence and illegality?” The former adviser asked her contact, registered under the initials MT, and who answered no.
This is not the first time that a (White House) worker has tried to profit by using my name with a false story.
Melania Trump considered that Grisham seeks to hog attention: “While his behavior is disappointing, it is not surprising or an isolated incident.”
His interview was broadcast the same day that the committee of the House of Representatives that investigates what happened that January 6 plans to demonstrate how the then Republican president did nothing for quickly stopping the protest, promoted under the pretext that the November presidential elections had been a fraud.
Specifically, his hearing will focus on the 187 minutes that have passed since, in a speech in Ellipse Park, near the presidential residence, Trump harangued the crowd to make themselves heard in the Capitol, until at 4:17 p.m. He later posted a video on Twitter where he told his supporters for the first time that they should leave the Congress building.
That January 6, some 10,000 people – most of them Trump supporters – marched towards the Capitol and some 800 broke into the building. There were five dead and about 140 wounded agents.
