The final trailer for “Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania”, a film starring Paul Rudd and Jonathan Majors, was released recently and has shown a violent Kang defeating Scott Lang, which makes us think about the possible death of the protagonist. But beyond the new great antagonist of the Avengers, there is another villain who has also stood out for his renewed look. He is about a character who came to have his own adult series on Star +, but was finally canceled by Marvel after only one season. Who is it and what is the new aspect of him?
A stop motion series that didn’t go far
The villain in question is nothing more and nothing less than MODOK, the same name that his animated series received with the stop motion technique and to which the comedian Patton Oswalt gave his voice.
The story had been well received when it reached Star+ and Hulu, Well, it ended up being an unexpected comedy for adults that gave a fresh air after all the Marvel series premieres on Disney +.
MODOK saved by “Ant-Man 3”
After its cancellation last year, it was still in doubt whether or not this character was going to be included in the UCM. But, with the trailer for “Ant-Man 3,” we now know that the villain will return for Phase 5 of Marvel.
Regarding his new appearance, which differs from that of the animated series, it has already been possible to see his uncovered face and also with a kind of armor on his face that makes him look more antagonistic than ever.
When is “Ant-Man 3” released?
“Ant-Man 3” opens next February 16, 2023 in Peru and other Latin American countries. This will be the film that kicks off Phase 5 of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
