Ancelotti warms up Real Madrid vs. PSG: ‘It’s not just stopping Mbappé’

The Italian coach acknowledges that the Parisian team has very good players.

Carlo Ancelotti, Real Madrid’s Italian coach, assured that his plan to turn around the tie against PSG, in the round of 16 of the Champions League, “is not just stopping Mbappé”scorer of the winning goal in Paris, and asked his players for a “complete and intelligent match” to come back with the support of the Madrid fans.

“The plan we have is not only to stop Mbappé, we have to stop Neymar, Messi and all the good players that PSG has. Our plan is to play as a block with and without the ball, put in intensity and play a complete and intelligent game,” Ancelotti said this morning about Wednesday’s game.

“We don’t have to go crazy because we have to win, we don’t need a win. You can jump ahead soon or at the last minute. The important thing is to play it with intensity”, defended the madridista helmsman.

For Ancelotti, there is no doubt that Kylian Mbappé will play at the Santiago Bernabéu, despite the heavy blow he received in training on Monday.

“I always hope that the players don’t have injuries. What happened to Mbappé yesterday gives him chances to play and that’s how we have prepared the game, thinking that he is going to play”he concluded.
