Ana María Lajusticia, known for her supplement brand, dies at 100

The chemist and founder of the supplement brand that bears her name, Ana María Lajusticia, has died in Barcelona at the age of 100, as reported by the company in a statement this Thursday.

“On this day, we deeply regret the death of Ana María Lajusticia at the age of 100. We bid farewell with love and deep admiration to this exceptional scientist, a pioneer in introducing magnesium as a key dietary supplement,” explains the company, currently directed by Anna Solé, Ana María’s trusted person for more than 30 years, and her son. Lajusticia was born in Bilbao on July 26, 1924 and in 1947 she graduated in Chemical Sciences from the Complutense University of Madrid: “She was among the first classes of female chemists in Spain, with brilliant results,” they say.

In 1980 he founded the brand of food supplements that bears his name. “From the company, we express our deepest condolences and all our love and affection to his family, friends and all collaborators, and we extend it to all those who feel his loss,” they add.
