The ceheginera, who has not scored points after ten races, could say goodbye to Moto3 this Sunday, in the face of doubts from Boe Motorsport
Ceheginera rider Ana Carrasco’s return to the Moto3 World Championship is proving to be much more complicated than expected. She continues to drag physical problems derived from the tremendous fall suffered in Estoril in September 2020, an accident that almost cost her retirement. And she is noticed. In addition, she is driving with a ballast of nine kilos and after ten races she still has not scored. The worst of all is that she does not see progression and she is getting further and further from the head. In fact, last Sunday at the German GP she finished in 22nd place, 77 seconds behind the winner, Izan Guevara. Along with Taiyo Furusato and Joshua Whatley, Carrasco, 25 years old, is the only one who has not scored a single point in the entire championship in the entire World Championship.
Thus, some portals specialized in motorcycling are already reporting that Carrasco could lose his place as a pilot for Boe Motorsport, a Spanish team that recovered it for the cause last winter, during this summer break. Thus, this Sunday in Assen would be the last test of the ceheginera in the Moto3 World Championship in 2022.
Ana Carrasco has already participated in three Moto3 seasons between 2013 and 2015, and was also Supersport 300 world champion in 2018. She has experience and a track record, but this year she is going too slowly. She herself admits that she lacks rhythm and speed.
Gerard Riu, his first teammate at Boe Motorsport, wasn’t going fast either. But David from Seville has just arrived at the team, who at 16 is already shining with the same bike as Carrasco. He was second in Montmeló, in his second race in the World Championship.
