An explosion at a TV tower in Kyiv damaged the call center from which malicious calls were made to Russia. This was reported on March 1 by Izvestia sources.
According to preliminary data, this call center was equipped with specialized robots.
The explosion at the TV tower occurred earlier in the day. According to Ukrainian media, presumably, a shell hit the building nearby. The incident disrupted the broadcasting of a number of Ukrainian TV channels. According to the mayor of Kyiv, Vladimir Klitschko, the hardware and transformer substation were damaged.
Earlier in the day, the Russian Defense Ministry warned that the Russian military would carry out precision-guided strikes against targets in Ukraine where information attacks are coming from.
As noted in the Russian defense department, information attacks on the Russian Federation are carried out by the 72nd main center of information and psychological operations of the armed forces of Ukraine together with the cyber operations units of the SBU, using hardware and software systems and communication facilities in Kyiv.
The agency urged residents of Kyiv living near the relay nodes to leave their homes.
On March 1, the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation called on Russians to be vigilant, as announcements with orders for terrorist attacks against Russia were revealed on the darknet. The dissemination of this information was carried out by “call centers located in Ukraine”.
After a significant aggravation in the Donbass, on February 17, the authorities of the Donetsk and Luhansk People’s Republics (DPR and LPR) announced a general mobilization, the evacuation of civilians to Russian territory and asked for recognition of their independence.
